What Does the following Urine Test Result Mean?

Hi doc..

Please help me with my urinalysis. Im quite worried. Im a 25 year old female with episodes of flank pain. Please help me out. Here is my u/a results:

Color: yellow
Transparency: slightly cloudy
Glucose: negative
Protein: 1+
Ph: 6.5
Specific gravity: 1.005
WBC: 0-1/HPF
RBC: 10-15/HPF
Amorphous urates: Few

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Your urine analysis is normal except for no of RBCs which are 10-15 under high power field. These indicate one of the following
- Urinary tract infection- this is common in females due to shorter urethra. Lower abdominal pain, burning sensation during urination & frequent urination are common features. Antibiotics would be given. Drinking ample of water would also be helpful.
- Injury to urinary tract- this possibility is also common. Mostly it is due to passage of urinary stones causing injury to urinary tract
